5 Reasons UnValentine's Day Party is Better

We're having a party and you're invited. This Sunday from 2-5pm we're having an unvalentine's day party at the shop. Here's what we have lined up:

It's a $5 donation for snacks and DIY or $10 with mimosas too! All the proceeds go to Girls Inc, a nonprofit providing educational services to underserved communities. 

Okay, so you're probably asking yourself, but how is an unvalentine's day party different?Unlike Valentine's day, unvalentine's day isn't focused on the external (ie. having a valentine, getting gifts, fancy dinners, ect); it's focused on you and just having fun without the stress of focusing on relationship statuses.  

If you're not already convinced unvalentine's day is better, here are 5 reasons why it is:

5. It's more fun than sitting around watching Netflix

Sure Netflix is great, and binge watching can be a good way to relax and pass time but it's a bummer when you start feeling bad about staying in while all your friend's facebook feeds are filled with vacations, dates and general valentinesdayness. Get out of the house, we promise it'll be worth it. Plus, we love netflix so I'm sure we'll find a series or seven to talk about. 

4. Discover your new favorite poet

Haven't heard DeShara Suggs-Joe's poetry? You're missing out. Her hashtag #butImCrazy has been growing and it's because of her unique voice and style. Come and listen for yourself! 

3. You'll get creatively inspired

How many times have you sat around looking at Pinterest saying, "hey, if I wasn't so lazy I could do this DIY project?'. We're making it easy and supplying all the things you'll need for DIY activities. We're going to personalize coffee mugs, champagne flutes, and cups. Who doesn't love that?

2. Mimosas, Chai Tea and Snacks

1. It's for an excellent cause

What better way to show love than giving to a worthy cause. Girls Inc empowers young women to be strong, smart and bold. Their educational services provide support for underserved communities through creative programming and activities.
And there you have it, five great reasons to come our unvalentine's day party. Space is limited so get tickets for you and your friends before they're gone.
