We're so excited to display Reesa Tansey's photography this month! Reesa explores the many different textures and colors of aerial photography through the lens of her iPhone. Her work will be on display through the end of October. If you'd like to buy one or more of Reesa's pieces email us at Art@VisceraStudio.com and we can send you a price sheet.
What inspires your work?
My inspiration comes from everyday observations of people, light, design and textiles.
Where are you originally from?
LA, where I learned photography in High School.
When you aren't creating art, what do you spend your time doing?
Keeping fit and healthy through excercise (i.e. running, cardio and weight training) is very important to me. I love to travel and explore different parts of the world.
How did you come up with the process for your work?
For many years I carried around loads of equipment and had to go through the time consuming process of working in a dark room. Converting to digital using the Iphone 7 plus and X’s technology as well as Adobe Photoshop has sped up my process tremendously.
Analog or digital?
Digital
Who are your role models/idols?
Bill Garnett, a professor at Cal University greatly impacted my passion for esoteric aerial photography. Dorothy Elaine’s abilitiy to capture a moment without revealing a subject is another major inspiration.
