A Peek Into Our San Francisco Shop

by Ari Takata-Vasquez

We're just about settled into our new location in the Lower Haight neighborhood of San Francisco. For the last month or so we've been in soft-open mode and getting it just right. Now that we're nice a cozy, it's time to have a shop-warming party to heat it up! This Friday, we'd love to see you at our Grand Opening party at 631 Haight Street from 6-9pm to help us celebrate. Bonus for your early birds-- the first 10 people to arrive get a free gift (it's going to be a good one!)
Before our grand opening, I wanted to give you a little sneak peek of our new space inside Concept Forty-Seven. Did I mention we get to partner with our friend and badass lady boss Stevonne, the founder of Beija Flor Naturals and Concept Forty-Seven?

Lower Haight is a gem, filled with a ton of local and independent restaurants, salons, galleries, and shops. If you've been reading our blog for a while you know that my favorite hashtag is #fattienotfoodie,  so you know that I've definitely been exploring the neighborhood belly first!

There's an incredible amount of art in the neighborhood-- from street art and murals, to Prince exhibitions (check out music focused gallery, Family Affair when you're in the area) and in-store artist collaborations. It was easy to find inspiration for the new wall mural in the shop.

When I first moved to California in 2008,  I lived in San Francisco. I walked EVERYWHERE and really explored the city. When I first visited Lower Haight it struck me. Places like Upper Playground were really thriving by creating art-first brands with community space. Now seeing it almost 10 years later, it's still got the same charm and neighborhood appeal.

I hope to see you all this Friday to celebrate! Come by and learn the neighborhood with us. The shop is easily accessible via public transit. **Pro-tip: If you take the Muni Metro N it drops you off just 2 blocks away!
