Minimalism Series: Creating Calm

This blog entry is part of a minimalism series. It has tips for creating a more simple life and finding ways to exercise minimalism in your everyday. Read the next installation of the series, What's a capsule collection    I’m a huge fan of minimalism for a number of reasons, but the biggest benefit I see from living a minimalist lifestyle is the sense of calm it can create in stressful times. I know I’m not alone when I say I’m feeling more stressed lately— a survey done by the American Psychiatric Association shows Americans are seeing a rise in...

Digital Minimalism

Digital Minimalism

The newest frontier in my minimalist journey is in the digital world. Just I’m just coming to terms with jotting notes in my phone rather than on a piece of paper, there seems to be a flurry of new digital distractions. Why does Viscera only have neutrals?

minimalism

The short answer: Minimalism. The long answer is the 333 project. I simplified my life and wardrobe and realized the only way it can work is without colors. I did this project out of desperation and a need for calm. Now, if you told me three years ago that doing the 333 project would influence as much in my life as it has-- I would have laughed and still be wearing color. The 333 project improved my life and so I want to share my story with you.  Three years ago I came across the 333 project after following zenhabits for some time....
